The Expected Victory
The expected victory arrived, the one that keeps the Mexican representative alive in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Yes, the Municipal Little League of Tijuana left behind the defeat against Japan and eliminated Canada with a score of 10-1, keeping their hopes alive in the 76th edition of the famous youth baseball tournament.
The team led by Fidel López was already playing for their lives from an early stage, falling 6-1 against the Japanese team in their debut in the competition, so they had to face the combined team from the maple leaf country, who had won against the Czech Republic with three runs to one.
Now, with this victory, Mexico waits for the loser of the game between the Little League of San Francisco (Maracaibo, Venezuela) and the Little League of Pabao in Willemstad, Curacao, to continue in the Little League World Series, as they are in the key where only winning is left.

The Game
The Canadians took the lead on the scoreboard with a home steal by Jaxon Weir, but Mexico countered thanks to a hit by Jorge Lizárraga, equalizing the match in the third inning.
The Municipal Little League of Tijuana did not look back and achieved a cluster of eight runs in the fourth inning, thanks to three hits, an error, and a sacrifice fly that led them to victory and survival in Williamsport.
In the fifth inning, Marko Mejía hit a double and brought Jorge Villa to home plate, scoring the tenth run. In addition, Lizárraga also excelled in his pitching role, striking out ten Canadians in four and two-thirds innings on the mound.
The game against Venezuela or Curacao will be held this Tuesday.
