Sergio Canales signed for Rayados this summer after his time at Betis and also played for Real Sociedad, who will play this Wednesday in Monterrey, with a coach like Imanol Alguacil, who trained the player and described him as 'awesome'.
“I had the opportunity to train him, he's awesome, there are few like him and that's why he has reached the level he has reached", he said after coinciding with him in the 2017-18 season.
“They signed a very professional player, with enormous quality that he has shown wherever he has been, you can enjoy him as we did because he also belonged to Real”.
Imanol considered that Canales will have no problem adapting to Mexican soccer and will also offer a show in the Liga MX.
“He is a player who will work every day to be good and offer a spectacle, he has talent and is very hardworking, he lives for and with football and surely he will adapt to you because you are very passionate about sports”.
Praises for Javier Aguirre
The coach also highlighted the career that Javier Aguirre has had in LaLiga, and considered that in Mexico there is a good level of coaches, with the capacity to manage in Mexico or Europe.
"Javier has shown through his career the great level he has both as a coach, I am convinced that in Mexico there are coaches of a high level, it is not possible for so many good players to come out who perform in Europe. Just like in all countries, Mexico has taken big steps in terms of coaches and why not see them in Spain or Europe”.
