"The rumors are not true, we are in conversations with Concacaf and Conmebol. We need an invitation from Conmebol, approved by Concacaf. Despite our desire to play there, the invitation needs to arrive at Concacaf. We have a lot of interest in playing competitions in South America," added the commissioner of the Mexican Football Federation.
