From the worst performances of the season and of the American team in a long time, America fell 1-2 against San Luis at the Azteca Stadium and won 4-3 overall against the team from San Luis Potosi. The presentation of Tano Ortiz's team was one of the worst of the season, despite the reaction at the end of the match. San Luis had everything to achieve the feat after Unai Bilbao (18') and Léo Bonatini (31') scored first.
