Pachuca announced on Friday the contract renewal of their head coach, Guillermo Almada, who will remain in charge of the Liga MX team until 2026.
Through a video on social media, the champion of the Apertura 2022 revealed the extension of their contractual relationship with the Uruguayan coach who was close to joining the Mexican national team a few months ago.
"The tango will continue to play for 2026…", wrote the Hidalgo club on their Twitter account to make the stay of the Uruguayan coach official, who was instrumental in obtaining the institution's seventh title in the First Division.

The strategist has had a successful first year leading the Tuzos, as he reached two Liga MX finals, losing one to Atlas and winning the other six months ago against Toluca.
When did Guillermo Almada arrive at Pachuca?
Guillermo Almada arrived at Pachuca after his time at Santos Laguna, the club that brought him to the Liga MX in 2019, to replace his compatriot Paulo Pezzolano.
The arrival of the Uruguayan to the Tuzos' bench in December 2021 was surprising, as the coach reached an agreement with the club in a matter of hours, and less than a week after leaving the Laguna team, he already had a job in Hidalgo.
