As part of the tour that the Spanish club Real Sporting de Gijón will make in Mexico, they have planned a stop in the La Comarca Lagunera to face Santos Laguna on July 16.
The team owned by Grupo Orlegi has defined a short tour of Mexican territory, where they have scheduled three friendly matches, against Santos Laguna, as well as Atlas de Guadalajara in Mexico and Atlético La Paz, in the capital of Baja California Sur.

This will be part of the preseason that the Spanish team will have, which plays in the Second Division of Spain, taking advantage of the same group called Orlegi.
When will the matches be held?
The first match that the Spanish team will play in Mexican soil will be against Santos Laguna, on July 16 at Estadio Corona, then they will travel to Guadalajara to face the rojinegros on July 19 at Estadio Jalisco and they will close the tour on July 23 in La Paz, against the local team that plays in Liga Expansión MX.
In addition to the preparation that these matches seeks for the teams involved in their respective competitions, this tour will serve to open new links with Mexico and offer new opportunities to the Spanish club.
It is also mentioned in Spain that a delegation of businessmen from Asturias will be able to accompany the team, with the aim of establishing contact with other business groups and institutions and generating a fruitful exchange for all parties.
The Real Sporting currently includes players who were part of the santistas ranks such as the homegrown Jordan Carrillo, as well as the Colombian forward Juan Ortero, Argentine center back Carlos Izquierdoz, and Chilean forward Ignacio Jeraldino.
