The Querétaro Stadium's sanction will be lifted
On March 5, 2023, the Estadio La Corregidora will complete its one-year ban
The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) announced that the home of the Querétaro "Gallos Blancos" will be able to receive fans again for matchday 10 of the current Clausura 2023. Querétaro will face Toluca on March 5.
"The Disciplinary Commission reports that, as a result of a request made by the Querétaro 'Gallos Blancos' Club, it has been confirmed that the one-year ban imposed on said Club to play in closed stadiums has been served, due to the events that took place on March 5, 2022, in the match between Querétaro and Atlas," stated the FMF in a statement.
"Therefore, starting from March 5, 2023, the Querétaro 'Gallos Blancos' Club will be allowed to play their matches with the presence of fans. Finally, it is reported that in order to carry out the reopening, the Querétaro 'Gallos Blancos' Club must have an authorization issued by the Liga MX confirming the Club's compliance with all the necessary security measures to carry out an official match in accordance with the Regulations, documents and circulars issued by the FMF and Liga MX, as well as the corresponding assembly agreements," they added.

It should be noted that for matchday 8, when Querétaro hosted Mazatlán, fans were allowed to enter the Estadio Corregidora, although only with 20% capacity.
It should be noted that after the violent events that occurred on March 5, 2022, Mexican football began implementing various security measures, including the Fan ID, which is now mandatory for all teams in this Clausura 2023.
