A sad night at Estadio Jalisco

A sad night was experienced on Thursday at Estadio Jalisco, as in addition to Atlas' defeat against Monterrey on matchday 6 of the Liga MX, a young man was rejected by his partner when he proposed marriage in front of thousands of fans.

It was during halftime at Estadio Jalisco when the Atlas fan knelt down in the middle of the field to make the proposal, but it had an unexpected response.

With the ring in hand, the young man asked his girlfriend to marry him in front of the spectators and the same mascot of the team who was present at the moment, but the play didn't turn out positively.

The cameras and screens of the stadium showed the moment when the woman was surprised by her partner and when she received the microphone to give her answer, she shook her head and left the field.

The video of the uncomfortable event quickly went viral on social media, as some people in the stands were able to record what seemed like an emotional and romantic moment.

From the upper part of the Jalisco stadium, it could be seen how the woman ran off the field after refusing to accept the ring, receiving a series of boos from the spectators.

As for sports, the match ended 2-0 in favor of Rayados who temporarily climbed to the top of the Clausura 2023, waiting for Pachuca's result to end the undefeated run of the Atlas.
