Mexico in the final of the next World Cup? These players could achieve that feat.

The Mexican national team, with ups and downs, continues to be considered the 'Giant of CONCACAF'. The Liga MX is one of the best competitions in America and has several players, from different positions, competing in important European tournaments. In each World Cup tournament, there are always expectations of what the 'Tri' will do.

Yoann Godin, director of international development for Ligue 1, expressed his admiration for the level of Mexican footballers and his desire for players of this nationality to compete in the top division in France, to the 'Marca' news.

The director of development also added that Mexico could reach the final or at least place within the top four in the next World Cup 2026, which would be played in North America.

"They will be hosting the World Cup in three years and I think Mexico will be, if not in the final, at least in the top 4, we'll see, they have great players and they will surely do a great job," said Godin.

"I think Liga MX does a good job in the business, I think they manage their best players well, several things must happen, but I'm sure we'll have Mexicans in the near future," added the specialist from Ligue 1.

Although there are still a few years until the World Cup is held and surely new talents could emerge or simply many players would have more experience, these are the players who, considering their current level, could lead the 'Tricolor' to a World Cup final.

One of the first on this list is Luis Chávez. The midfielder was considered the best in the squad in Qatar. His ability in his position became evident in the recent matches with the national team and in Pachuca. Surely, he will soon make the move to Europe.

The second player worth mentioning is Santiago Giménez. The forward, despite not being a starter at Feyenoord in the Netherlands, has taken advantage of the opportunities he has had. Seven goals in 671 minutes, a promising figure that would give him a place in the starting eleven.

AEK Athens is getting the best out of Orbelin Pineda. Under the leadership of Matías Almeyda, he is showing great performance and has become an offensive leader. Eight goals in 16 matches speak volumes. His performance would be a great help to the national team.

Kevin Álvarez, at 24 years old, is a leader in Pachuca's defense. He has experience in World Cup matches. Currently, he is sought after by teams in Liga MX, but his club hopes he makes the jump to Europe to be in optimal condition for 2026.
