The final of the Liga MX has started and Pachuca is showing their power, despite starting the match against Toluca as visitors. Before the 15th minute on the lawn of the Nemesio Díez Stadium, Romario Ibarra and Gustavo Cabral appeared to establish the partial 2-0 lead for the 'Tuzos'.
Near the 8th minute, Erick Sánchez found space to assist Romario Ibarra with a precise ground pass, taking advantage of the disorganized defense of the 'Diablos rojos'. The experienced Ecuadorian forward, despite not having a wide angle towards the goal, managed to take a powerful shot that beat the resistance of goalkeeper Tiago Volpi.
Shortly after, at the 12th minute, Pachuca had a free kick from the left side near the midfield line, and Víctor Guzmán sent a dangerous cross. Inside the penalty area, after escaping from his marker, Gustavo Cabral only had to deflect the ball slightly to inflate the net and unleash joy in his team.
TOLUCA vs. PACHUCA PREVIEW
Toluca improved their level of play as the tournament progressed, despite the doubts generated by the poor end to the regular phase: one victory, four draws, and three defeats in the last eight matches. However, coach Ignacio Ambriz managed to bring out the best version of his players and the team showcased its offensive power, with Camilo Sanvezzo (three goals) as the main protagonist in the playoffs. Jean Meneses, who has eight goals and four assists this season, is another key weapon for the 'Diablos rojos'.
On the other hand, Pachuca finished in fourth place in the initial stage and has a slight favoritism towards the title, after eliminating Tigres and Monterrey. Precisely, the most emphatic performance by Guillermo Almada's team was in the first leg against 'Rayados', with the memorable 5-2 victory, including a hat-trick from Nicolás Ibáñez, who has scored 14 goals in the season. The experienced Romario Ibarra and Avilés Hurtado have also been key players for the 'Tuzos'.
