Guillermo Almada says that the best version of Javier 'Chofis' López will be seen next season, but the Chivas homegrown player is already starting to deliver results at Pachuca. In the eliminatory round against Tigres, with just seconds on the field, he scored the goal that gave the Tuzos the pass to the semifinals and was once again cheered by the crowd at an Liga MX stadium.

"Surely we will see the best of him in the coming semester, because he will have a preseason, he has joined with a lot of humility, he is a player with great abilities. He is also a player who contributes both on and off the field, he has been decisive, I am convinced that he will be a contribution in the semifinal and in the final, I am convinced that the best of Chofis is yet to come," predicts Guillermo Almada, after celebrating the pass to the semifinals and a few days before the eliminatory round against Rayados.

"Do not criticize my progress, if you do not know my efforts," 'Chofis' López threw a few days ago on his social networks. It was expected that the Chivas homegrown player would be the figure of the Rebaño and even the number 10 of the red-and-whites was given to him, in return he delivered some sparks and scandals off the field.

The football player tried in many ways to fulfill the expectations around him, he even put himself under the orders of a trainer of 'Canelo' Álvarez. Eduardo López's path was not in Mexico.

López found his football in the United States, where he coincided with one of the coaches who gave him the opportunity to play in the First Division, Matías Almeyda. He went to San Jose, California, and there he fought to be the MLS MVP, scoring 13 goals in 36 matches and becoming the engine of the 'Terremotos'.

He returned to Chivas and there was no place for him, so Pachuca under Guillermo Almada extended a helping hand to him. The transaction, which included the transfer of Santiago Ormeño to the red-and-whites, made more than one raise an eyebrow: "he won't play in this team," some dared to assure, due to the physical demand of the teams coached by the Uruguayan technician.

His debut was not until matchday 10 and he only has 350 minutes, enough to score four goals that have meant victories for the Tuzos, one of them became the pass to the semifinals against Monterrey. It is still little, but Guillermo Almada assures that "the best of 'Chofis'" is yet to come.

"Conviction is what we did with him, we told him our ideas, he is another player who has joined our disposition, he has made a great effort since he arrived," Almada added when asked about Eduardo López's level.
