Sultans return to Mobil Super Stadium and will have free admission.

The baseball will be back on the diamond of the Mobil Super Stadium with the friendly match with free admission between the Sultans against the Jalisco Charros, this Thursday at 19:30 hours.

Ten days after the end of the Battle of the King Series, fans will see the current champions of the Mexican Pacific League on the field, led by manager Roberto Vizcarra.

The Gray Ghosts have been a pleasant surprise in the past two seasons, advancing to the semifinals and coming close to reaching the championship fight.

In what will be their fourth season in the winter league, Monterrey has a core group of Mexican players that is already in their third week of training.

Players like Gilberto Galaviz, Alberto Carreón, Roberto Valenzuela, Ricardo Serrano, Carlos Figueroa, Fernando Pérez, Carlos Soto and Aldo Flores are back with the Monterrey team.

Centerfielder and leadoff hitter Carlos Figueroa stated that the goal is to take the next step and reach the grand final.

"We come with all the desire to improve what we did last year, it was a very nice experience, great things were achieved, we reached the semifinals in a seventh game and we couldn't reach that final, but the goal is at least to reach the final this year," said Figueroa.

The Sultans have called up nine foreign players for their preseason, including pitchers Terance Marin, Gabriel García, David Pérez, and Joe Riley, as well as hitters Danny Ortiz and Jake Scheiner.

With the Charros, there are players who belong to the Sultans in the summer, such as Christian Villanueva and Adrian Gusman.
