The Chivas vs. Puebla match had a rough start in the Liga MX: Gustavo Ferrareis made a tackle to regain possession of the ball and suffered a fracture in his left leg.

The actions of the Chivas vs Puebla match, for matchday 14 of the Liga MX Apertura Tournament, had to be stopped at the five-minute mark, due to the serious injury of Brazilian player Gustavo Ferrareis: the defender made a tackle to recover the ball, but had a bad movement and suffered a fracture in his left leg.

The clash at the Akron Stadium in Zapopan had just reached the five-minute mark and the 'Sacred Herd' was trying to control the actions to threaten the opposing area. In that sense, Cristian Calderón was enabled several times on the left side to create imbalance, although he had not yet made progress.

Precisely, Gustavo Ferrareis was in charge of marking the Mexican midfielder and the duel against 'Chicote' promised many emotions. However, the defender's lack of skill left a shocking scene: he threw himself on the ground to steal the ball, but his left foot got stuck in the grass.

Unfortunately, the Brazilian fell with all his weight on his left leg and, due to the bad movement, suffered a fracture in his ankle. The full-back, visibly affected, immediately called for medical assistance, while the other players on the field made the same request.

The doctors' work was very fast and Ferrareis was immobilized, and then taken by ambulance to the nearest medical center. Some players from both Puebla and Chivas de Guadalajara couldn't contain their tears due to the shock caused by their fellow colleague's injury.
