Veteran goalkeeper José de Jesús Corona will play his first match in the Liga MX in five and a half months, Julio César 'Cata' Domínguez will retain his position and Raúl 'Potro' Gutiérrez will test a Cruz Azul team with a 4-4-2 system in his first match as head coach of the cement team.
For this Saturday's match against Gallos Blancos de Querétaro, in the 11th round of the Apertura 2022, 'Potro' Gutiérrez plans three or four changes compared to the squad that started in the 7-0 loss to América a week ago, perhaps the most important in the goal, where Jesús Corona will start and wear the captain's armband while Sebastián Jurado, who defended the Cruz Azul goal from the beginning of the season, will go to the bench.
Two changes are forced due to injury or suspension: the first due to the absence of center back Ramiro Funes Mori due to a muscle injury, and the second due to the two-game suspension for midfielder Rafael Baca.

The confirmed absences for Cruz Azul in the match against Gallos Blancos de Querétaro are the suspended Rafael Baca and the injured Ramiro Funes Mori and Alejandro Mayorga.
