Note about the football match between Atlas and Puebla

A lively duel was offered by Atlas and Puebla at the Estadio Jalisco, but it ended in a 1-1 draw between the Camoteros and the current Mexican football champion.

The visiting team quickly struck, taking advantage of a defensive lapse by the Zorros, where Martin Barragán appeared to receive a great cross from Gaston Silva and shoot past Camilo Vargas to give the visitors the lead in the 10th minute.

Despite the lapse in the goal, the first half of the Zorros was one of the most outstanding performances they have offered in recent games, however, the results are not what the fans expected.

Julián Quiñones, the Colombian player who stands out in the Rojinegros, equalized the score in the 45th minute with a long pass from Edgar Zaldivar, taking advantage of a moment of confusion in Puebla's defense and scoring after a series of rebounds.

In the second half, the local team had the best intentions to take the three points, but Diego Cocca and his men couldn't find a way to trouble the Paraguayan goalkeeper, Silva, again.

With the result, Atlas reached nine points and remained in 14th position, below Chivas, who have already won in the Apertura 2022 and also have nine points, but with one game less played.
