Match between FC Juarez and Pachuca will be postponed due to violence.

The acts of violence that have occurred in the last few hours in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, have caused great consternation throughout the country. They have also led to the suspension of many activities of various kinds, and football is not exempt from this. Therefore, the match between Juárez and Pachuca had to be suspended because the atmosphere in the city is not ideal.

The Liga MX informed in a statement about this situation: "Given the current circumstances in Ciudad Juárez, the Liga BBVA MX has decided to reschedule, with a date to be determined, the match of Matchday 8 between FC Juárez and Pachuca that was originally scheduled for this Saturday, August 13th."

In fact, the notification arrives before the Tuzos traveled to that city, since it should be remembered that the Liga's regulations require clubs to be at the venue of their match 24 hours in advance. The match was originally scheduled to take place at 9:30 pm Central time, at the Benito Juárez Stadium.

Furthermore, the designated officiating crew would not make the trip either, in order to safeguard the integrity of everyone after the acts of violence that occurred on Thursday and left 11 people dead and various shops burned.

Thus, Hernán Cristante's team and Guillermo Almada's team will have to wait for their schedule to be adjusted, as there will be a double matchday next week, and the Bravos de Juárez will have to play as visitors on Tuesday, August 16th, against Atlas de Guadalajara.

In the current Apertura 2022 tournament, FC Juárez is in 13th position with 7 points earned, after playing 8 matches, with a record of one win, four draws, and three losses.
