Juan Reynoso has already started with the work in charge of the Peruvian National Team and now he was seen at Ivan Elías Moreno to witness the match between Sporting Cristal and Academia Cantolao. This is to monitor his future call-ups, this action was already repeated last Thursday where he traveled to UNSA in Arequipa to witness the match between Melgar vs. Inter de Porto Alegre.
With this, the 'Cabezón' takes for granted the beginning of his era and what will be his first challenge at the helm of the 'Blanquirroja' in the friendly matches in September, but before he lands at La Videna. The former footballer and captain of the 'Bicolor' also led Cruz Azul, a team that became champion after 23 years and where he starred in a notorious controversy.
Juan Reynoso almost comes to blows with one of his players in Cruz Azul
The incident occurred in his last days as coach of the 'Máquina Cementera', as Juan Reynoso is known for always demanding 100% from his players in order to achieve the objectives, this happened in Mexico. The Peruvian coach demanded more commitment from Rómulo Otero; however, the Venezuelan footballer did not respond on the field.
According to information from El Universal, the midfielder did not fulfill his defensive duties in the match against Chivas and problems arose in the dressing room. According to the mentioned media, both Reynoso and Otero had a strong exchange of words, there were even shoves and it almost came to blows, but the team had to intervene to prevent things from escalating.
It is worth mentioning that Rómulo Otero is a regular call-up for the Venezuela National Team, scoring six goals with the 'Vinotinto', three of which were against the team currently coached by Juan Reynoso.
After the differences with the 'Cabezón', Otero left Cruz Azul and his new team now is Fortaleza, which managed to advance to the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores.
