Matchday 7 of the Liga MX 2022 started last Thursday with a comeback from the reigning two-time champion Atlas, winning 3-1 against Querétaro. On Friday, the only scheduled match was between Mazatlán and Chivas, featuring Santiago Ormeño, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the former team Monarcas Morelia.

The matchday will conclude on Sunday with four more matches. First, Toluca will host Tijuana at the Nemesio Diez stadium, while San Luis will do the same against Necaxa at the Alfonso Lastras stadium. Pachuca, the reigning runner-up, will clash with the current league leaders Tigres at the Hidalgo stadium, and later on, América will close this round of matches at the Azteca stadium against Juárez FC. The remaining match, Puebla vs. Pumas, has been rescheduled for a yet-to-be-confirmed day.
