Closing the year
Closure of the year
Thus, both teams open hostilities this Saturday at the Uni-Trade Stadium in Laredo, to stay in the Tamaulipas side on Sunday and Monday, with the first pitch scheduled at 19:30 hours. Félix Fermín's roster secured their spot in the playoffs this week and also obtained their eighth sweep of the campaign against the Tigres de Quintana Roo, to stay in pursuit of the Toros de Tijuana, leader in both the North Zone and the entire league. The difference is only two games.
The filibusters did not meet expectations and are in second-to-last place in the South Zone, with a record of 29 wins and 59 losses. Officially, they are eliminated and will try to close out the final part of the year with dignity.
