Santiago Ormeño was just another fan in this León vs. Pumas match, where the green-and-white team ended up drawing 3-3 throughout the 90 minutes. The 28-year-old forward cheered on his teammates and wished them the best for the rest of the season.
Mexican media outlets claim that his move to the historic Chivas is a done deal, despite the sea of negative comments against the club for signing a player who represents another country.
As it is known, Chivas has a tradition of signing players born in Mexico who exclusively represent the colors of the "Tri" (Mexican national team). However, the management seems to have made an exception with the arrival of Santiago Ormeño.
"Santiago Ormeño bids farewell to León FC amidst a good atmosphere. He came to watch the game against Pumas and will present himself with Chivas," wrote journalist Paco Montes along with the Peruvian's video.

According to "Transfermarkt," Santiago Ormeño has a value of 2 million euros at 28 years of age. His highest value was with Puebla in 2021, where he was worth 4 million euros.
