Santos and Monterrey starred in a great match on Matchday 1 of the Apertura 2022 of Liga MX, where the Laguneros won 4-3 to earn their first three points. However, controversy also made itself present.
One of the Commissaries of Liga MX was exposed on social media showing a condescending behavior towards Monterrey fans, telling them to be quiet when they were celebrating Rayados' goals, and even ejected one of them from the TSM Corona Stadium.
The Commissary in question is José Odilón Trujillo Macedo, who has already been involved in several controversies in Mexican soccer, one of the most remembered being in the final of the previous Apertura 2021, where he had an altercation with José de Jesús Corona and his son.
In a video shared on social media, the commissary is seen silencing a fan of the visiting team and issuing threats to eject him from the venue, all because he was celebrating the visitors' goals.
"When we were leaving, they told us that we shouldn't be there, that we were rude, and most of us were just celebrating the goals."
