Pumas officially announced through its social media channels the renewal of Juan Dinenno, who will remain with the UNAM team until 2024. His contract was set to expire in December 2022, as reported by ESPN a few weeks ago.

Dinenno announced his contract extension with Pumas just minutes before the team made it official on their social media platforms. "With the same excitement since day one. I am where I want to be. Belonging. @pumasmx 2024," wrote Dinenno on his social media, where he also shared a video highlighting the most important moments he has experienced with the team since his arrival in 2020.

"Our Commander stays at home to continue writing history! @Juandinenno will continue wearing the auriazul jersey and giving everything on the field for these colors. #SoyDePumas," announced the UNAM team on their social media.

Dinenno joined Pumas in 2020 from Deportivo Cali in Colombia, in a transfer worth $4.18 million, according to information published by Transfermarkt.

Since then, Dinenno has represented Pumas in 90 matches, playing 6,980 minutes, and has scored 40 goals and provided six assists for his teammates.

So far, Dinenno's best tournament with the university team was the Apertura 2020, where he ended with 10 goals in the regular season and was instrumental in helping Pumas reach the final, which they lost 3-1 against León.

The only individual title that Dinenno has won with the Pedregal squad is the top scorer award in the 2022 Concacaf Champions League, where he scored nine goals, while the UNAM team finished as runners-up after losing 5-2 to Seattle in the final.
