The first training of the Chivas for the Apertura 2021 took place with seven absences due to national team call-ups
Chivas had its first training at Verde Valle as part of the preseason, in preparation for the Liga MX Apertura 2021, which took place with seven absences due to national team call-ups and without any reinforcements, as the team has not been able to secure any yet.
The transfer market has been difficult for Guadalajara as they have not been able to make any signings, as they don't have the money to do so and the proposed exchanges have not convinced them.
The three players they have negotiated for so far are: Erick Aguirre from Pachuca, as well as Jaime Gomez and Marcel Ruiz from the Tijuana team.
These negotiations did not succeed, as both Tuzos and Xolos wanted to keep the Chivas midfielder, Fernando Beltran, and the Guadalajara team is not willing to let him go, unless it is on loan or for a good amount of money.
For now, the sports director of the institution, Ricardo Pelaez, will continue looking for players to bring to the team, even though time is running out and he only has the players on the squad for any possible exchange in the transfer market. Chiva's priority is a right-back and a midfielder.
