Pablo Aguilar, defender of Cruz Azul, revealed that Juan Reynoso had a strong reprimand towards the players at halftime, as they themselves admitted that Santos had surpassed them in the first half.
"We entered a little sleepy, or I don't know if anxiety played against us in the first half and someone with experience tries to lift the team's spirits, tries to lift the teammates," he said in an interview with TUDN. "Everything happened in the dressing room, but it stays there in the dressing room.
"These are things that stay with us. We fought with the coach, with Reynoso, we all fought. We were arguing among ourselves, but then Reynoso came."

On the other hand, Santiago Giménez highlighted the way the team turned around the bad moment they went through after being eliminated by Pumas in the semifinals of the Guard1anes Apertura 2020.
"It's a historic moment. Six months ago, we were eating [expletive], people didn't know what we were going through, we didn't want to leave home after the result against Pumas, and today, thank God, we were able to crown ourselves. They always say that after the storm comes the sun."
