The Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia, captain of Querétaro, seeks to add the third victory with his team in the 2021 Clausura tournament of Liga MX, in which he fell 4-1 against Cruz Azul on the night of Saturday, January 30.
Valencia made his debut with an assist in the third matchday in the 2-0 victory against Pumas UNAM. The Amazonian player made his signature move: running down the right flank and then delivering a precise cross to one of his teammates in the area.
Héctor Altamirano, coach of the Gallos Blancos of Querétaro, after the third matchday highlighted the professionalism of the Ecuadorian player and stated that he seeks to 'build the team around him'.
"Antonio Valencia is an exceptional football player, with incredible quality, a professional and a great teammate in every sense of the word," Altamirano said in an interview with the newspaper Excelsior.
The match against Pachuca on matchday five of the Clausura will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 22:00 (Ecuador time). The Gallos Blancos are ninth with six points, while the Tuzos are third-to-last with two points and want to achieve their first victory in the competition.
