Antonio Valencia selected in the ideal 11 of the Clausura-2021 tournament
For his performance in Querétaro's 2-0 victory against Pumas UNAM, now playing as a midfielder (No. 5), Antonio Valencia was selected for the 'ideal 11 of the third matchday' of the Liga MX Clausura-2021 tournament, which the organization announced on Wednesday through their social channels.
Valencia (35 years old), captain of the Gallos Blancos, is part of the central midfielders along with Juan José Vásquez from Toluca. The line is completed on the right side by Pablo Barrera from Atlético de San Luis, and on the left side by Rubens Sambueza, also from Toluca.
This is the first time since his debut in Mexican football that Toño Valencia has been recognized by the Liga MX organization for his performance in a match of the Clausura 2021 championship.
Also chosen from Querétaro was striker Ángel Sepúlveda, author of the 2-0 against Pumas in the 42nd minute with a header. The precise service for Sepúlveda's conquest was given by the former Manchester United captain from the right wing.
