Michael Estrada ruined Antonio Valencia and Jefferson Montero's debut in Queretaro by scoring one of Toluca's goals in the first round of the Liga MX.
The Guayaquil forward scored the winning goal in the 18th minute of the second half and confirmed his team's good start to the championship. Estrada scored after receiving a pass at the edge of the area and finishing with skill. He was substituted off at the 34th minute.
Antonio Valencia returned to the field after a ten-month inactivity and performed at an acceptable level. He played the full ninety minutes but couldn't prevent his team's defeat.
Meanwhile, Montero was substituted off in the 51st minute due to an injury.
Querétaro's next match will be against Atlas, while Toluca will visit Chivas.
