With Juan Reynoso as coach, La Máquina has set its sights on a candidate to strengthen the attack, it is the Uruguayan Christian Tabó
Christian Tabó, captain of Puebla, interests the Cruz Azul management as a reinforcement for the Guard1anes 2021, this at the request of Juan Reynoso, current coach of La Máquina and former coach of La Franja.
The Uruguayan forward was one of the key pieces of the team that Juan Reynoso formed with Puebla, since his tenure in the Apertura 2019. Sources confirmed to ESPN that the Blue Cross management began negotiations with Puebla for the player's rights, however, due to registration times, Tabó's arrival at Cruz Azul looks complicated.
Tabó arrived as a reinforcement for La Franja for the Clausura 2018. Since then, he has gained renown in La Franja's performance. Prior to the arrival of Nicolás Lacarmon, current coach of Puebla, there were rumors of a possible departure of the Uruguayan to Santos Laguna and even to MLS, a league where there is interest in acquiring his services.
If Tabó's sale to Cruz Azul is finalized, it would be another sensitive loss for La Franja, since after reaching the quarterfinals of the Liguilla in the Guard1anes 2020, the Puebla management let go of players like Nicolás Vikonis and Nestor Vidrio. The Uruguayan still has 2 more years left on his contract with Puebla.
The Uruguayan has played 82 matches wearing La Franja's jersey, between the League and the Cup, in which he has scored 12 goals and provided eight assists. Under Reynoso's management as coach of Puebla, he participated in 37 matches, scoring five goals and providing two goal assists.
Tabó is not the only Puebla player who would join Cruz Azul at the request of Reynoso, as a few days ago there was also mention of La Máquina's interest in Omar Fernández, however, the Puebla management would have rejected an offer from Cruz Azul for the player's services.
