The 'Pollo' stated that saying things to each other is normal on the field and explained that the Frenchman is his friend.

The Chivas player clarified the situation he experienced on the field with Gignac in the match between Chivas and Tigres in the Guard1anes 2020

Antonio Briseño, defense of Chivas, clarified the exchange of words he had with André-Pierre Gignac last Saturday during the match corresponding to the eighth round of the Guard1anes 2020, a situation that the 'Pollo' assured is normal on the field and even expressed that at the end of the game he greeted the Frenchman, whom he considers his friend.

"To all those who say that we say things on the field, well yes, we said things to each other and we say much uglier things. Gignac is my friend, he is a guy that I appreciate, I was with him for a year and at the end of the match a hug, a greeting, and let's go," he said in a story he uploaded to his Instagram to explain what happened.

"It's part of it, we say much more... he also said things to me, which I'm not going to repeat, which I'm not going to say, but it's part of it so that people don't get hooked and don't start saying 'how is it possible that we say things', it's part of football and there's no other way."

In the scene where 'Pollo' Briseño and Gignac exchange words, it is noticeable that the Chivas defender yells at the Frenchman: "Me pelas la v.....", a situation that went viral on social media.

The Tigres attacker played the full 90 minutes in Guadalajara's 3-1 victory over Tigres, while 'Pollo' Briseño came on as a substitute for the last 21 minutes, during which he not only confronted the Tigres' number 10 but also slid with his head to take the ball away from Edu Vargas, another scene that also went viral.

The Chivas center-back has played a total of 22 minutes in the Guard1anes 2020, as in addition to the last 21 minutes he played against Tigres, he also played another minute in the fifth round against Atlético de San Luis.
