Gerardo Arteaga asegura que en México el futbol tiene un nivel similar al que se ve en la Liga de Bélgica
Gerardo Arteaga affirmed that Mexican soccer is not far from the Belgian one, in fact, he stated that the only difference is that there, the game is played harder and faster.
Gerardo Arteaga, who recently signed with Genk in Belgium, has learned to know that football, where undoubtedly, there are marked differences with the Liga MX.
The former Santos' full-back, a tall player, standing at just under 1.80 meters tall and weighing about 64 kilos, has been amazed by the strength shown by the players there.
"The football here is faster and stronger, the players are faster, stronger; I think that's the only difference," explained Gerardo Arteaga when asked if that football is much superior to the Mexican one.

He did not hesitate to point out that, "technically, I think in Mexico we are very similar to Belgium football, but what stands out here is the speed of the game and the players," he added.
On the other hand, he pointed out that Genk "is a very beautiful, very calm city; if you compare it with Mexico, here people are more closed, more serious; the people are very different, which is also something that I miss a lot, my Mexican people," he established.
