The Argentine defender described Sebastián Vegas as a 'beast' player, after what he has shown in this Guard1anes 2020 Tournament
MONTERREY -- Defender Nicolás Sánchez described Chilean player Sebastián Vegas as a "beast" and a world-class player, based on what he has shown with Monterrey Rayados in this Guard1anes 2020 Tournament.
"Yes, he is a beast, I had seen him before, but not to this extent. When you face him, you realize when there is a player of quality, but for him to have shown so much in such a short time is something to value. He is world-class because he plays for the national team, we have to enjoy him, a great career awaits him," he said.
Sebastián Vegas arrived in Mexican football for the Apertura 2016 when he joined Monarcas Morelia, a team he remained with until the last Clausura 2020, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the end of the tournament, Monarcas Morelia decided to change venues, which led to the emergence of Mazatlán FC and Sebastián Vegas leaving the team to be transferred to Monterrey Rayados.
In this tournament, Sebastián Vegas has accumulated 540 minutes in the six matches he has played, and having him as a teammate, Nicolás Sánchez reacted in this way.
Monterrey Rayados are already preparing to face Xolos de Tijuana this weekend, in the eighth match of the Guard1anes 2020 Tournament that will be played in the border city.
Regarding the match, Nicolás Sánchez said they expect a difficult match and that beyond the names in the squads, all matches are always difficult for Monterrey.
"For all teams, it's a new opportunity. For us, it's about continuing to affirm this growth. We don't expect an easy match, regardless of the names, squads, there are no easy matches. We have the opportunity to come out winning there. We go with the hope of winning again," he concluded.
