Giovani Dos Santos still not reporting to America due to injury, ruling out his debut against Necaxa this Friday
Time is running out for Giovani Dos Santos and he is getting closer to being ruled out for the match against Necaxa next Friday. ESPN learned that during Tuesday's training, the attacker was once again absent as he has not fully recovered from a muscle overload that has prevented him from making his debut with the Eagles in the Guard1anes 2020.
Giovani Dos Santos underwent a physical test on Tuesday. However, he still felt some pain, so America's medical and technical staff decided not to risk him and he continued to do differentiated work under the orders of the therapists, hoping to be back in training with Las Aguilas in the coming days.

On the other hand, this Tuesday Sergio Diaz was present in Coapa for the first time to sign his one-year contract with America and underwent PCR tests along with the rest of the America squad. The results are expected to be ready by Thursday before traveling to Aguascalientes. However, Diaz will not be considered for the match against Necaxa and at best, he could play some minutes in the match against Santos Laguna in round 4.
The latest news from America's training is that fitness coach Giber Becerra has returned to work with the team. Becerra tested positive for Covid-19 and was isolated at home for 11 days to recover and prevent any risk of contagion with the rest of the squad.
