"My playing style is creating goal opportunities, scoring as much as possible, always reaching the area, shooting from outside the area, something I do quite well. I hope to score many goals and assists," said the player shortly after arriving in the country.
Díaz, one of the young promises of football in his country, was announced this Wednesday as the new player for América, the team with the most league titles in Mexico, 13, and upon arriving in the country, he praised the history of the Eagles.
"Arriving at the biggest club in Mexico is something unique, I must demonstrate my potential in order to do well, like most Paraguayans, and contribute to Club América in order to achieve the titles that the club aims for," he added.
Díaz, 22, is a winger who can play on both sides and will be available to be placed in the lineup as a forward, which will give him an advantage to appear as a starter.
The player described himself as an offensive footballer who can score goals and provide assists and trusted in standing out in a league where several figures from his country have been protagonists, including defender Bruno Valdez and midfielder Richard Sánchez, with whom he will share at América.
"Mexican football is dynamic, with quality players, and I hope my contribution will be in that way," he said.
América defeated Pachuca 2-1 last Monday and started the Apertura 2020 on a good footing, but in the match they suffered the losses of Argentine defender Emanuel Aguilera and Colombian midfielder Andrés Ibargüen due to injuries.
The team will host Tijuana next Saturday, who come from a 3-1 victory against Atlas, in a match between two of the seven winning teams in the first matchday.
