José Juan Macías, forward for Chivas, clarified that playing in Europe is not an obsession, however, it is a goal that he has among his plans, and he wants to achieve it sooner rather than later because he believes he is ready to test his level in the best leagues in the world.

"As I said, I am very happy at Chivas, being the striker of the team that I have been a fan of since I was little, and also being the most important team in a country of over 120 million people, is a huge pleasure and responsibility. But it is no secret that I want to play in the global elite, and I believe that the best football in the world today is in Europe. It is not an obsession, by any means, but I do believe I am capable of playing anywhere and with the best, and I hope it is a goal that I can achieve sooner rather than later," said the attacker to Transfermarkt.

Macías, who remains the most valuable player in the Liga MX, expressed that he does not have a preference for any specific team or league to jump to Europe, as he would feel honored to join any club that helps him achieve his goals.

"I really like challenges, I don't think there is a league where I could do worse or better, I believe it is about projects. For me, the club is much more important than the league. I want to be in a place where they have confidence in what I do and in my potential to grow, and where they see me as an important piece that can help achieve ambitious goals."

It is worth mentioning that a few weeks ago, Chivas canceled a press conference with their young forward, after rumors about his possible move to Europe increased, including the rumor of going to Germany, a league that the '9' of the rojiblancos has recently been following.

"Yes, I follow it, even more in the last year than before. It is a very fast and dynamic football, with great teams and players. And of course, moving to Germany would be an option, just like any other place where they see in me someone who can contribute."
