The complaint that Renato Ibarra faces for an alleged assault against his wife Lucely, daughter of the historic Ecuadorian footballer Cléber Chalá, continues to worsen. This Saturday, Mexican justice ordered that the 29-year-old winger be transferred to Reclusorio Norte to continue the process in preventive prison.
After statements made by relatives and friends of the footballer, Ibarra remained confined in the Public Ministry (MP). However, the order for his transfer was sent since the maximum stay time in the MP would be fulfilled, and for this reason, Ibarra must continue the process in prison.
The América player has not been able to reach an agreement with the plaintiffs. His wife is hospitalized and at risk of losing the baby she is expecting. The evidence presented by the defense lawyers motivated the decision.
However, there are still 48 hours left to convince the accusing party to withdraw the complaint. Ibarra still has the opportunity to avoid going to prison as long as his wife declares that he was not the aggressor. Otherwise, he will be tried for the accused crime.
