GUADALAJARA - Chivas forward José Juan Macías became the youngest player in Liga MX history to score 25 goals after scoring last Sunday in a 2-0 victory against León.
According to Ernaldo Moritz from ESPN, Macías, at 20 years and five months old, is the fastest player to reach the 25-goal milestone. The Rebaño Sagrado striker surpasses historic Mexican soccer forwards such as Jared Borgetti, Omar Bravo, and Javier Hernández, all three of whom have a past with Chivas.

Macías, who was born on September 22, 1999 in Guadalajara, made his Liga MX debut on July 22, 2017 in a match for Rebaño Sagrado against Toluca, and he scored his first goal in the top flight in October 2017 in a match against Xolos.
In 2019, José Juan left Chivas and was loaned to León for a year, where he became one of the most dangerous forwards in Mexican soccer. With La Fiera, Macías scored 19 goals in 38 matches.
At the end of last year, Chivas confirmed Macías' return, and in the current tournament, he has scored three goals in six matches. If he continues adding goals, he could fulfill his dream of moving to Europe once the competition ends.
