Uriel Antuna reached 479 minutes in Liga MX with the Guadalajara jersey. He is the reinforcement with the most participation in Clausura 2020, and against Tijuana, the Mexican winger gave his first assist in the tournament for José Juan Macías to convert the goal that eventually meant the victory for Rebaño at the border.
The Antuna-Macias duo responded to the confidence that Luis Fernando Tena placed in them, especially after the streak of five matches without a victory for Rebaño, and when in the match against Cruz Azul, Uriel was blamed for the defeat.
"Uriel will be a starter in the next match and will be a key player for Chivas," Tena defended his player during the press conference after the game against La Maquina.
Antuna is the fifth field player with the most participation in the tournament. Although he is still in the adaptation period, the midfielder received support from the team after Macías' goal against Tijuana, where his teammates went to celebrate with him, embraced him, and pointed to him as the one who originated the goal.
The same happened with José Juan, who was absent in two matches due to an injury, but his status is enough to place him among the players with the most participation in the squad. In addition, with his goal against Xolos, the forward equalled Eduardo López and Alexis Vega as Chivas' top scorers, with each of them having two goals.
The victory at the border helped respond to the trust that Luis Fernando Tena placed in them. He gains credit with the victory after an unstable week.
