The América Eagles traveled to Guatemala with a luxury squad to play the first leg match against Comunicaciones FC for the Round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions League.
"We are going with 22 players and we will decide the starting 11 there. We will work there, the truth is that everyone is well fortunately there was no injury to regret after the last match we hope to see who is the best to start the match," said the coach at the Mexico City airport.
Through their official Twitter account, the Azulcremas shared photos of the players before boarding the plane, and players like Bruno Valdez, Paul Aguilar and Richard Sánchez can be seen, who are undisputed starters in the Mexican League.

On the other hand, Piojo approaches his team's next match with caution: "We know about the Central American teams and their strength at home, being a Guatemalan team that is doing things well and sets up very well and have great physical presence".
Regarding América's aspirations in the continental tournament, Aguilar assured that the club must aim for the title despite not being able to count on all its star players due to injury issues.
"This club, despite so many absences, is here to compete in any tournament and give it importance. It seems that this team wants to continue to transcend internationally," he said.
