QUERÉTARO -- Miguel Herrera, América's coach, respected what he declared in the past days and sent Jorge Sánchez to the bench, starting Luis Fuentes instead, who has accumulated minutes for the third consecutive game with his new team.
The coach of the bluecreams commented that Jorge Sánchez would be on the bench, after being expelled against the Bravos de Juárez, in the first minutes of the game. Luis Fuentes took his place on the left side and the former Pumas player took advantage of his opportunity.
On the other hand, Sánchez was pointed out by the América fans, after being sent off in the game against Juárez, a match that the capital team lost 3-1 against Azteca. The young defender was reminded that one of his mistakes also caused Herrera's team to lose the Apertura 2019 final against Monterrey.
Luis Fuentes was criticized when he signed with América, but in three games he has scored a goal and is one of the standout players in Piojo's squad in the first matchdays.
Meanwhile, Argentine reinforcement Santiago Cáseres started on the bench for the Coapa team and made his debut in Mexican soccer as a substitute for Henry Martín in the 81st minute.
