Spending in the winter market: Premier and Serie A exceed 200 million euros

The Premier League is the competition that has spent the most on transfers in the recent winter market, with an investment of 227.75 million euros. The Italian Serie A occupies the second position in this chapter with 214.35 million euros. Both are the only ones that exceed the 200 million mark.



The Spanish LaLiga is fourth in the ranking with 129.55 million euros spent on new players, and is surpassed by the German Bundesliga, with 195.95 million euros invested.


In the top 10 of spending in the winter market, the first non-European competition is the Brasileirão, in sixth place, followed by the MLS league of the United States and the Liga MX (50.44 million euros).


The English Championship, the Second Division of England, also ranks among the top ten with 39.40 million euros in expenses.

Serie A, the highest earner


Regarding the income chapter, the top four competitions that raised the most in the winter market exceeded 100 million euros.


Serie A easily achieves the highest income with 184.98 million euros and surpasses the Brasileirão by more than 60 million.



LaLiga ranks third with a transfer revenue that exceeds 100 million euros, specifically 103.8 million. The Liga NOS of Portugal is fourth and the last to surpass the hundred million mark (102.65).


Precisely, the Portuguese tournament has the best balance between spending and income in transfers, with profits of 76.20 million euros.
