Cruz Azul's goalkeeper will study a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and will start attending school as of May this year.

Sebastián Jurado spoke to his representative to make a special request after signing with Cruz Azul. The young goalkeeper told his agent that he wanted to go back to school and joined the elite program at Anáhuac University, where he will be classmates with Guillermo Ochoa in the Business Administration degree.

"Sebastián Jurado's representative contacted me, and he told me that he wanted to study. I had an interview with him at the office, and we arranged for him to start school in May," said Gustavo Alpuche, director of the elite program at Anáhuac University, to ESPN Digital.

Sebastián Jurado will study Business Administration for the next two years and eight months and will start attending school in May of this year. The youngster will be part of a program that includes 113 high-level athletes, and among the most prominent soccer players are, in addition to the Cruz Azul player, Guillermo Ochoa, Diego Rosales, and Kevin Escamilla.

"Ochoa and Jurado would be classmates in the degree program, but Guillermo is already in a more advanced semester. In that degree, there are many athletes; I have Viviana Michel, Kevin Escamilla, who despite playing for Toluca, comes to classes, Diego Rosales. There is also surfer Ana Laura González and almost the entire taekwondo national team," he added.

The former Veracruz goalkeeper had to meet the requirements of being in a professional team and being a starter or substitute in his club. He was accepted into the elite program because he is one of the most frequent players in the national team's call-ups, as they compete for a spot in the Olympic soccer tournament in Tokyo 2020.

"Some of the graduates from these careers are Gerardo Torrado, Ignacio Hierro, Jaime Lozano, Santiago Baños, Alejandro Castro," Alpuche concluded.
