Franco Jara will leave Pachuca as the all-time leading scorer in the club's history

Argentine striker Franco Jara will leave Pachuca as the all-time leading scorer in the club's history, as FC Dallas of the MLS has announced his incorporation starting next summer. Jara surpassed Gabriel Caballero in November of last year with a goal against Necaxa, becoming the top scorer in the club's history in the top league. Lorenzo Saenz with 55 goals and Juan Carlos Cacho with 53 goals are also part of that list.

A few matchweeks ago, Jara had already reached 75 goals with Pachuca, securing his place as the club's all-time leading scorer.

Jara arrived in Liga MX in the Apertura 2015 from Olympiakos for a transfer fee of $1.5 million. He played a total of 149 matches with the Hidalgo team, 120 of them in the regular season.

Chivas is the team that Jara has scored the most goals against, with eight. Tigres and Veracruz have received seven goals each, while he has only scored six times against Santos. Newly promoted FC Juarez is the only team in Liga MX that Jara hasn't scored against.

Before arriving in Mexico, the Argentine striker played for six teams. He played for Arsenal in Argentina from the Apertura 2006 to the Clausura 2010 (51 goals), Benfica in Portugal from the Apertura 2010 to the Apertura 2011, and then returned for a second stint in the Torneo 2014-2015 (47 goals). Jara played in La Liga with newly promoted Granada in the Torneo 2011-2012 (33 goals). He returned to the Argentine Super League to play for San Lorenzo in 2012-2013 (27 goals) and Estudiantes de La Plata in 2013-2014 (22 goals). His last team in Europe was Olympiakos, where he played from 2015 to 2016, scoring 17 goals.
