Paulo Pezzolano is the new coach of Pachuca, as announced by the Hidalgo's team through its social media, after Martin Palermo, who coached the Tuzos, announced his departure last Sunday.
"It is an honor to participate in this project and work with the Pachuca club family, a model club with great prestigious players and one of the best youth academies in Mexico. Here you will find a coaching staff with great vision, eager to work, who lives it with great humility and excitement. So I invite you to witness this process, I invite you to dream," were the words Pezzolano said in the video posted by the Tuzos.
The Uruguayan strategist arrives at Pachuca's bench after coaching Torque and Liverpool in his country, winning championships with both teams. In the first, he won the Second Division title, while with the latter he was crowned in the 2019 Intermedio Tournament.
Palermo was in Pachuca's bench since the Clausura 2019, however, failing to qualify in the Apertura 2019 cost him his job, after reaching the quarterfinals in his first tournament and being eliminated by Tigres.
