Luis Fernando Tena expects to resolve his future in Chivas between today and tomorrow, days in which the management, led by Ricardo Peláez, will define whether they continue with the 'Flaco' or decide to look for another coach for the 2020 Clausura.

"Things are looking good, nothing is decided yet. But I believe that between today and tomorrow everything will be resolved. I'm not going on vacation, I'm staying here waiting for everything to come together. If it is affirmative, which is what we desire, we will start planning the preseason," said Tena, who doesn't hide his desire to stay in Guadalajara.

"There's always uncertainty. There has been for two months. I'm grateful to the players, they responded very well, a great group with the desire to get out of the bad streak. Hopefully, I can stay."

The coach feels confident for the work he did in the Apertura 2019, a tournament in which he led eight matches, winning four, drawing two, and losing two. He even thinks about the possible location for the preseason.

"I'm more relaxed now that the stress of the matches is over. For better or worse, unfortunately, we're already out. It's a shame to go on vacation when the team is improving. They have told us for a while that they are happy with the work, but in football, surprises happen until everything is resolved, in football and in life."

"It's inevitable not to think about what's next. You see this team, they've been to Cancun and it has gone well for them. They know it, and it could be there, but we have to wait two days. We've waited so many days, we have to endure two more days."

'CHAPO' SANCHEZ, RENEWED

Guadalajara announced through their social media that they reached an agreement with Jesús Sánchez to renew the fullback's contract until 2022. The 'Chapo' made his debut in 2010 in the top league with the Chivas shirt, the only team he has represented in the Liga MX.
