Less than a week after being operated, Giovani Dos Santos reappeared at the Estadio Azteca, using crutches to walk.
The striker was by the tunnel that leads to the dressing rooms before the start of the capital derby that America and Cruz Azul will play this Saturday, within matchday 13 of the Apertura 2019.
In this same scenario, the previous Saturday, Gio received a strong tackle from Antonio 'Pollo' Briseño that caused a deep cut requiring 25 to 30 stitches.
He remained hospitalized for almost three days, as for the type of injury it was necessary for the doctors to have all the necessary care to avoid a possible infection.
The player will have six weeks of inactivity, while Chivas defender Briseño received a four-match suspension, starting from the current date.
