MEXICO -- Guadalajara midfielder Jesús Molina acknowledged that they feel guilty inside the locker room for the dismissal of Tomás Boy as the team's coach and pointed out that those responsible are the ones on the field.

"It is never good to leave a coach without a job, because we are the ones who play. We are the ones responsible and unfortunately, he leaves and we receive the notification afterwards," he commented.

Although the team had eight defeats in the 14 matches that Boy coached, Jesús emphasized that the team must support the new coach Luis Fernando Tena, with whom he won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. "Now we have to support Luis Fernando, who we have worked with before, and contribute with our abilities."

Although Chivas was received by about fifty fans in the capital city before the Clásico Nacional against América, and was applauded and celebrated regardless of the situation the team is going through, Molina added that "the situation hurts and it's complicated, but it is important to lift our heads and if we win an important result, we would climb up the standings."

The midfielder added that this commitment would be significant for his teammates and would give them the motivation to face the second half of the Apertura 2019 season.

"It is essential for the players and winning would give us a boost, and our commitment is with ourselves and the fans to win this match. It is the most important game and winning it would be the best, it's the expected game and we hope to make a statement," he concluded.

The most sought-after player by Chivas fans was former América captain Oribe Peralta, who despite not scoring in the tournament and being questioned, still received words of encouragement, pats on the back, and requests for photos.
