VERACRUZ -- Sebastián Jurado, goalkeeper of Veracruz, apologized on social media to the fans of the "escualos" after going over a year without winning in the Liga MX.
"Apologies to all the people from Veracruz who make an effort every day to buy a ticket and support us. Convinced that unity is strength, the most difficult challenges are the ones that ultimately help you surpass yourself as a professional and as a person," wrote the young goalkeeper of the "escualos."
Of the 32 matches that Veracruz has gone without winning, Jurado has played in 24 and has never triumphed with the club, which is now coached by Enrique Meza in the Liga MX.
"I have no doubt that all the people who work for the club have RESILIENCE and we will give everything to reverse this complicated situation. Let's row together ESCUALOS. #Hagamosquepase #Comotequierotibu," the player from the port city stated in his letter.
The Tiburones are in last place in the table of the Apertura 2019 and have the opportunity to end the winless streak against Querétaro and Morelia, their opponents before the FIFA break in September.
