MEXICO --

Miguel Herrera, América's coach, still doesn't know the date when Guillermo Ochoa will debut in his second stint with the Eagles, while he is satisfied with the work of Óscar Jiménez, who he claims is raising his hand for the starting position as the games go by.

"He's been working for a week, just ten days working. He doesn't know the team, he doesn't know the group yet, we know who Memo is, but he doesn't know how his teammates play on the field, that's worked day by day, we don't put people just because people want to see him. He will obviously play, but it will obviously take time and when he says he's ready, we will think about it, meanwhile Óscar is there raising his hand every day," said 'Piojo' in a press conference after the 1-0 victory against Morelia.

Herrera admitted that it has been difficult to face the match against Monarcas after the injuries he has had, in addition to the players who went to Europe, so he hopes to have news of the reinforcements in the coming days.

"The team has suffered many injuries and we are moving forward with Santiago (Baños), as I said during the week, we are not only thinking about bringing in one reinforcement, more can come."

The 'Piojo' was critical of his team and accepted that they did not have a good match, but considers that in these circumstances, sometimes winning narrowly is valid.

"Obviously we didn't play well, we won by doing just enough to win. The opponent didn't do much either and scored, anyone can do that, but we had the clear chances and they with great effort, with determination."

"Sometimes the team doesn't have to play beautifully, today the great team we had when the tournament started, unfortunately between players leaving and injuries that are not in my head, that are serious injuries and not matters of a week or two. We are working, if this team keeps winning like this, it's fine, when the other people arrive, when we recover the injured players, I bet the team will be fine."
