MEXICO -- Agustin Marchesin leaves America and becomes the new goalkeeper for Porto, as announced by Las Aguilas on social media.
Marchesin arrived in Mexican soccer in 2015 from Lanus. Santos was his first team with which he played four seasons, during which he became a reference and won a League title, as well as a Champion of Champions.
For the Clausura 2017, he signed with America, despite having previously stated that he would never join Las Aguilas during his time with the Guerreros. Due to this, the Azulcrema fans criticized his arrival, but the Argentine won them over with his performances between the posts.
With Las Aguilas, where he also became a reference, he contributed to adding three more trophies to Coapa's collection: One League title, one Cup, and one Champion of Champions.
The goalkeeper joins Porto, a team that consistently competes for the Primeira Liga title and is currently in the third round of the Champions League, where they will face Krasnodar in two-legged ties on August 7 and 13.
