After being close to becoming a reinforcement for Cruz Azul for the Apertura 2019, Lucas Cavallini will finally stay with Puebla.
The coach of the Franja, José Luis Sánchez Solá, assured on social media that they are "almost ready for Friday," when they debut against Tijuana at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc and added "Lucas will be with us."
During the weekend, the same coach acknowledged that the negotiations had cooled off and from Monday's practice, he reintegrated the forward into the starting lineup to get him ready for Matchday 1.
The Canadian forward has scored 25 goals in the league and cup with the Puebla team since his arrival in 2017 and was one of the most talked-about names in the transfer market. He participated with his national team in the 2019 Gold Cup and contributed with five goals.
We are already complete and almost ready for Friday. Lucas will be with us. We hope for your support.
